North Carolina physician practice’s ASC, MOB acquired

Hickory, N.C.-based Graystone Eye’s medical outpatient building and ASC has been acquired by Flagship Healthcare Properties, marking the largest single-asset acquisition by purchase price in the history of the company’s private REIT, Flagship Healthcare Trust, according to a Sept. 14 news release. 

The 92,516-square-foot, Class A facility is 100% leased and located in Hickory’s primary outpatient medical corridor, according to a news release. Built in 2008 and expanded in 2019, the property includes administrative offices, exam and procedure rooms, an aesthetic clinic and four AAAHC-accredited operating rooms.

Graystone Eye, founded in 1969, is a physician-led ophthalmology practice serving Western North Carolina from five locations with more than 350 employees, including 14 board-certified ophthalmologists and five optometrists. Flagship will provide property management and asset management services for the site.
