Indianapolis-based LegacyMD, a majority physician-owned platform for concierge and direct primary care practices, has launched with the combination of two practices: Priority Physicians of Indianapolis and HealthBridge Personalized Medicine of Long Island, N.Y., according to a Sept. 2 news release.

The combined platform will include 21 physicians across four locations by the end of 2026, with new flagship offices in Fishers, Ind., and Lake Success, N.Y.

LegacyMD is majority owned by its physicians and employees and offers equity ownership to employed physicians in every transaction, positioning it as an alternative to private equity-backed consolidators. The company is backed by financing partners and family offices.

Each practice keeps its brand, care model and local leadership under the LegacyMD structure, with centralized support for HR, IT, finance and growth. Priority Physicians, co-founded in 2002 by Dr. Priddy and Craig Veatch, MD, was Indiana’s first concierge medical group. HealthBridge was founded in 2001 by David Edelson, MD.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
