Hoskinson Health and Wellness, a rural clinic in Gillette, Wyo., will close July 31, three years after opening, citing financial unsustainability, the Gillette News Record reported May 25.
The clinic, which was founded with ambitions of building a national model for rural healthcare, said it expanded too quickly and was unable to sustain its current pace. About 40 employees were laid off in January 2026, and co-owner William Hoskinson, MD, said that the clinic could not continue “burning cash” at its current rate, according to the publication.
The clinic encouraged current patients to establish care with a new provider before July 31 and said it will assist with referrals and medical record transfers.
