The nurse, who was working at NHC Healthcare in Johnson City at the time, failed to administer blood sugar checks and insulin to patients on multiple occasions and improperly maintained patient records. The nurse admitted to the wrongdoings and said “she was busy preparing for an upcoming inspection and she had to prioritize what to leave off,” according to the news report.

The nurse’s action did not lead to any patient harm. She has since been fired from her position at NHC Healthcare. In addition to her probation, she must undergo continuing education courses.
