Port Clinton, Ohio-based Magruder Hospital has launched an outpatient neurology clinic to expand access to specialty care in the region, according to an April 26 report from The Beacon.
The clinic provides diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management for neurological conditions affecting the brain, spine and nervous system, including stroke, epilepsy, migraines and Parkinson’s disease.
The program is led by Steven Benedict, MD, and includes Angela Lowe, PA-C, who has seven years of neurology experience. The team supports patients with both chronic conditions and new neurological symptoms.
Hospital officials told The Beacon the clinic is designed to deliver care closer to home and reduce the need for patients to travel outside the region for specialty services.
