Dr. Murthy Madhira named a leading physician of the world: 5 takeaways

1. Dr. Madhira is gastroenterologist who specializes in colonoscopies, flexible sigmoidoscopies, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatographies and several other specialties.

2. He has been in practice for more than 13 years and currently works out of the Monroe (Mich.) Gastroenterology Clinic.

3. His career started after he earned his medical degree from Rangaraya Medical College. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Dayton, Ohio-based Wright State University, and a fellowship at Detroit's Wayne State University.

4. Dr. Madhira is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

5. Additionally, he is a member of several professional societies including the American Gastroenterological Association and the American College of Gastroenterology.
