Surgery Partners acquires Riverside Pain Physicians: 5 things to know

Surgery Partners purchased Riverside Pain Physicians, headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla., and some of its affiliates from Brown Gibbons Lang.

Here are five things to know:
 
1. The largest interventional pain practice in Northeast Florida, Riverside Pain Physicians is comprised of 10 pain physicians and 80 support clinicians.
 
2. Following the transaction, Riverside will be Surgery Partner’s foundation for its pain platform in the southwestern United States.
 
3. Riverside offers both interventional and non-invasive pain management, as well as ancillary services such as pharmacy, anesthesia and laboratory services.

4. Based in Nashville, Tenn., Surgery Partners has more than 140 locations throughout 29 states.
 
5. Brown Gibbons Lang, an independent investment bank, offers expertise in mergers and acquisitions, financial restructuring, debt and equity placements as well as valuations and fairness opinions.
