Key-Whitman Eye Center heading to bigger facility as volume grows: 5 key notes

The Key-Whitman Eye Center is moving to a new facility in North Dallas, according to a Dallas Business Journal report.

Here are five key notes on the move:

1. The new facility is two stories with 35,000-square-feet and will house a surgery center on the first floor and the Key-Whitman Eye Center on the second floor.

2. There will be physician offices, additional patient rooms and the firm's corporate headquarters located at the new facility. There will be 25 examination rooms and four operating rooms.

3. Key-Whitman Eye Center co-founder Jeffrey Whitman, MD, reported the center decided to move because there's an increasing demand for services. The old location ran out of room for increasing business.

4. In addition to the medical services, the new facility will include free and valet parking as well as a coffee bar while patients wait.

5. The move is expected to take place on March 21 and the practice hopes to grow in the future with the expanded space.
