University of Utah creates virtual program to improve healthcare: 4 things to know

The University of Utah Health Care in Salt Lake City developed Value University, an online portal aiming to improve patient care, according to H&HN.

Here are four things to know:

1. ValueU is a training program for healthcare professionals focusing on providing high-quality care at low costs.

2. Ten healthcare organizations will participate in the program's pilot, for which professionals can receive continuing education credit.

3. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation helped create the virtual program.

4. The University of Utah Health Care's dedication to healthcare transparency drove the development of this program.
