The Institute for Safe Medication Practices offers a free medication safety self-assessment to help hospitals assess the safety of their medication practices, identify opportunities for improvement and compare their experiences with those of similar hospitals.

The 2011 ISMP Medication Safety Self Assessment for Hospitals was funded by The Commonwealth Fund and is a result of a partnership between ISMP, the American Hospital Association and the Health Research and Educational Trust.
