NPSF DAISY Awards recognize extraordinary nurses

The National Patient Safety Foundation's DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses will be conferred to one individual and one team.

Michael Blomquist, RN, CCRN, a critical care nurse at the University of Kansas Hospital, will receive the individual award for his professionalism and patient-centered approach.

The Emory University Hospital Serious Communicable Disease Unit nursing and interdisciplinary team will receive the team award for treatment of critically ill patients with Ebola.

The awards with be granted at the NPSF Patient Safety Congress April 29-May 1, 2015 in Austin, Texas.
