Kimberly-Clark Health Care Names Recipients of HAI WATCHDOG Awards

Kimberly-Clark Health Care has announced the recipients of the HAI WATCHDOG Awards program, which was created to recognize the efforts of healthcare professionals working together to prevent healthcare-associated infections.

 

The awards program is an initiative of Kimberly-Clark's HAI WATCHDOG Community, which is designed to encourage the sharing of best practices among clinicians, according to a news release. Each award winner receives an educational grant.

The four winning facilities are:

  • Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, La.;
  • Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W. Va.;
  • Children's Healthcare of Atlanta; and
  • Memorial Healthcare System in Chattanooga, Tenn.

 

"We are so pleased by the quality of the awards submissions received during our inaugural year of the program," said Joanne Bauer, president of Kimberly-Clark Health Care, in the release. "We look forward to continuing the sharing of best practices through the Community and the 2011 HAI WATCHDOG Awards entries."

 

The 2011 HAI WATCHDOG Awards will be accepting submissions beginning this summer.
