Joint Commission's Michael Kulczycki Discusses Wrong-Site Surgery in Surgery Centers

In a new blog post on The Joint Commission website, Michael Kulczycki, executive director for The Joint Commission's Ambulatory Care Accreditation Program, discusses reducing wrong-site surgery in ambulatory surgery centers.

 

The blog entry discusses the recent release of results from a Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare project on reducing the risk of wrong-site surgery.

 

The project included involvement by three ASCs, along with assistance from the Ambulatory Surgery Foundation.
