AORN Awards Seal of Recognition to Educational Program From Innovative Product Achievements

The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses has awarded Innovative Product Achievements with the AORN Seal of Recognition for an educational program focusing on proper scrubs laundering and changing of warm-up jackets, according to a news release from AORN.

 

IPA received the award for its recommended practice program titled "ScrubEx." It provides operating room staff with a sample policy, competency assessment and software-based compliance monitoring capabilities for the laundering of scrubs and daily change of warm up jackets.

 

Programs and activities that are awarded the AORN Seal of Recognition have been reviewed and evaluated according to the AORN perioperative standards and recommended practices by AORN registered nurse reviewers. The Seal of Recognition is not a product endorsement.

"The education materials submitted by IPA are informative and meet the association's standards for excellence in safe patient care, said Joan Blanchard, MSS, BSN, RN, CNOR, CIC, perioperative nursing specialist for AORN, in the release.
