The expanded indications allow for QuikClot wound dressing to be used in conjunction with manual pressure to control external bleeding caused by operative and postoperative surgical wounds. The expanded indications also support the use of QuikClot dressings in subcutaneous tissue.
QuikClot products, which are in their third generation, contain the mineral kaolin, which facilitates the body’s natural coagulation processes.
