The surgery center will be located in one of two medical office buildings that are being developed just south of Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

The new, $21 million facility will include 43 patient rooms, which will include 10 outpatient surgical rooms as well as pre- and post-operative areas.

The medical office building, which will house the center, is being developed by Cogdell Spencer. The ambulatory surgery facility will occupy the first floor, while the other four floors of office space will be leased to physicians. A second medical office building in the same complex is also being developed by The Jackson Clinic group.
