The surgical center, which hosted more than 6,000 cases last year, will now have 33 patient-care rooms, including 10 surgical suites, and will be linked to the EMR system at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson.
Procedures will include arthroscopic orthopedic surgeries on knees, shoulders and other joints; tonsil and adenoid surgery; eye surgery, including retina; ENT surgery, such as sinus surgeries; and some general surgery, including hernia repairs.
The new tower will also host West Tennessee Neurosciences, a neuroscience and spine center currently in two separate locations.
