The site, in Brandon, Fla., was reported by Tampa Bay Business Journal to cost $5.8 million, and construction costs were ballparked at $60 million.
Work on the 100,000-square-foot outpatient center is slated to break ground by mid-2015 and be completed roughly a year later, by fall 2016.
The details of the center’s ownership is still in discussion but hospital officials say it will include an ambulatory surgery center, along with a separate emergency room, physical therapy and more.
This is the first of several outpatient centers under the West Florida Health partnership, which formed in September 2013.
