The Web site will publish information from Illinois’ first Hospital Report Card and Consumer Guide, which was established as part of legislation passed in 2003, according to the report. The site went live at 9 a.m. on Nov. 19 and is available at www.idph.state.il.us or www.healthcarereportcard.illinois.gov.
Consumers will be able to see data from many hospitals and surgery centers in Illinois including pricing information, how many procedures are performed at the facility and how often they deliver recommend care and patient ratings, according to the report.
