Virginia Department of Health Asking Residents to Comment on Proposed Surgery Centers

The Virginia Department of Health is holding a public hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 6 on two proposed ASCs in Isle of Wight County and has invited the public to comment, according to a report in the Daily Press.

Norfolk, Va.-based Sentara Healthcare and Newport News, Va.-based Riverside Health System have proposed surgery centers in the Benns Church area of the county. According to officials from both health systems, the state will approve only one application.
