Regina Boore, RN, BSN, MS, is the principal and CEO of Progressive Surgical Solutions, a company that specializes in business solutions for outpatient surgery centers, including management, compliance, financial, development, operations and marketing solutions. The team of experts at Progressive Surgical Solutions boasts a collective 50 years of experience in helping surgery centers achieve their goals.
In addition to spearheading Progressive Surgical Solutions, Ms. Boore is an administrator at Newport Bay Surgery Center in Newport Beach, Calif. She has more than 25 years of in ambulatory surgery as a perioperative nurse, OR supervisor and as a clinical coordinator for surgical technology and perioperative nurse training programs in California. She received her bachelor’s in nursing from California State University at Long Beach and holds a master’s degree in human resource management and development from Chapman College in Orange, Calif.
In a recent interview with Becker’s ASC Review, Ms. Boore discussed achieving strong leadership as one of five key priorities for surgery centers in 2012. She and Debra Stinchcomb, RN, BSN, CASC, Progressive Surgical Solutions consultant, agree that some physicians — particularly those whose surgery center works with a management company — may not realize the impact their leadership can have on surgery center profitability. “They don’t realize how much they can contribute, ultimately to their own benefit,” Ms. Boore says.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
