University of Wisconsin-Madison Proposes New Conflict-of-Interest Rules

The University of Wisconsin-Madison recommended new conflict-of-interest rules for its physicians, according to a report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

A task force of 15 physicians and healthcare professionals proposed a ban on doctors giving promotional talks for drug companies and are recommending that doctors disclose monies received from drug or medical device companies within $1,000.
