Here are five key points:
1. Spok on-call scheduling, secure texting, critical test results management and hospital call center solutions will all help UHS secure communications effectively.
2. There are around 1,600 physicians and residents who will initially try out the Spok Mobile secure texting app.
3. UHS has experienced communication problems, as operator groups used time-consuming manual processes for scheduling and contacting staff. This led to increased hospital budgets.
4. With Spok Mobile, staff can efficiently communicate and send information securely.
5. An automated, protected process is in place for test result delivery.
“Doctors constantly need to talk to each other,” said William Phillips, chief information officer of UHS. “In today’s healthcare environment the demand is growing for secure communication on a variety of devices. We needed a secured, protected communication solution for our physicians.”
