Michigan Hospital, Joint Commission Investigate Sterilization Complaint

Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital in Charlotte, Mich., and The Joint Commission are investigating a complaint regarding sterilization practices in the hospital’s operating room, according to a Lansing State Journal report.

Neither hospital nor Joint Commission officials would elaborate on specific details, but a hospital spokeswoman confirmed a patient was not involved in the incident.

According to the report, Hayes Green Beach Memorial has until Aug. 29 to determine whether the complaint has merit.
