Uber investor Bill Gurley criticizes the healthcare field

Innovation is one of the biggest buzzwords in healthcare, but investor Bill Gurley thinks it’s hard to trust to innovation in the current market, according to a USA Today report.

Mr. Gurley is a partner with venture capital firm Benchmark, based in San Francisco. He has invested in companies such as Uber, Zillow and OpenTable, but when it comes to healthcare he’s less inclined to take the risk.

During the South by Southwest conference in Austin, Mr. Gurley discussed how the healthcare market is “distorted,” according to the report.
