Miami Speech Pathologists and Assistants Arrested for Medicaid Fraud

Four employees of a Miami-based speech center are in custody for allegedly defrauding the Florida Medicaid program, according to a news release from Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum.

The four employees of The Center for Bilingual Speech and Language Disorders allegedly conspired to bill Medicaid for unsupervised speech therapy with Medicaid beneficiaries.

For approximately three and a half years, the center billed Medicaid for these services and was reimbursed nearly $540,000.

The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are expected to be made.
