TriMedx Foundation Seeking Biomed Volunteers for Haiti Missions

TriMedx Foundation, a non-profit that provides medical equipment and training to hospitals in third-world countries, is seeking volunteers with biomedical equipment and training experience to go to Haiti this year to volunteer at two hospitals, according to a news release.

TriMedx Foundation, which was founded by TriMedx, a provider of healthcare equipment services, will send volunteers to Hôpital Sacré Coeur in Milot and St. Boniface Hospital in Fond des Blancs each month in 2011 as part of the Foundation’s Mission Lifecycle Program.

 

The volunteers will train local technicians on how to use and repair equipment in departments such as lab, anesthesia, EKG, blood pressure and imaging.

 

To qualify for training, local technicians must have the ability to read, write and speak English.
