Texas Institute for Surgery First in State to Use DebMed

The Texas Institute for Surgery at Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas is the first healthcare organization in Texas to implement hand DebMed‘s hand hygiene technology to reduce infections.

The DebMed GMS is designed to electronically monitor all five moments of hand hygiene: before patient contact, before antiseptic task, after body fluid exposure, after patient contact and after contact with patient’s surroundings.

The technology also offers supplemental resources, eliminates the need for human direct observation and monitors groups instead of individuals, thereby boosting compliance.
