The eight-acre campus, known as Texas Health Outpatient Center, came at a cost of about $20 million and will include a freestanding emergency center, a fitness area and a three-story medical office building. Services will feature physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, advanced imaging and more.
Officials said that Texas Health Outpatient Center will be the first part of a health campus that is expected to grow into something even larger, including a surgery center and the development of more area for more physicians.
Capping off a process that began with a groundbreaking in October of 2013, officials have scheduled a community event this Saturday to show off the new facility, and will be officially open the first day of next week.
Texas Health Resource, a nonprofit health system, is the largest employer in North Texas.
