Terumo, which is Asia’s larger medical device manufacturer, is proposing to invest $640 million and merging with the world’s biggest maker of endoscopes.
Terumo joins a growing list of companies seeking possible mergers and tie-ups with Olympus. These companies include Sony Corp., Fujifilm Holdings Corp. and Panasonic Corp.
