Mr. Smith joins SMP after most recently holding the position of director of peri-operative outpatient services at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D., according to a news release from SMP. Mr. Smith, who has more than 15 years of experience in healthcare and ambulatory surgery center leadership, also held administrator and nursing leadership positions in surgery centers and hospitals in Nebraska and Kansas.
“We are very excited to have Mr. Smith on the clinical leadership team at SMP,” said Mike Lipomi, SMP president/CEO, in the news release. “His experience, knowledge base and integral understanding of our industry will be a great asset to the SMP leadership team.”
