American Pain Foundation Provides New Tools and Resources on Safe Use of Complementary and Alternative Medicine

As part of its PainSAFE initiative, the American Pain Foundation released new educational material on the safe use of complementary and alternative medicine, according to a news release.

The material, created with National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, provides patients and healthcare professionals information on the effectiveness of CAM therapies for managing pain, possible side effects, risks associated with each therapy and how these therapies can be used safely.
