Cytori Therapeutics describes Puregraft as a system that “allows the operator to prepare a fat graft in about 20 minutes. With no mechanical equipment required, the PureGraft bag clears the lipoaspirate of blood, tumescent fluid, and free lipid in a closed, sterile system which is easy to operate.”
Industry figures indicate plastic surgeons performed nearly 60,000 fat grafting procedures in the United States in 2010, according to the report.
