Southeastern Surgical Center Physicians Now Using da Vinci Si System

Physicians at Southeastern Surgical Center, part of Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, N.C., started using da Vinci robotic technology last week, according to a Robesonian report.

Eric Velazquez, MD, of Southeastern Surgical Center, performed surgeries with the help of the device last week. According to Intuitive Surgical, the system can be used in multiple treatments to include cardiac, colorectal, gynecological, thoracic and urological surgery.

The da Vinci Si is a $750,000 addition to Southeastern Regional Medical Center’s surgical team.
