Researchers studied 262 college students with chronic pain. All study subjects completed four scales: the GPS, West Haven Yale Scale, the Perceived Stress Scale and the short form McGill. Results showed that GPS yielded high criterion validity and construct validity. Additionally, the total GPS score was overwhelmingly correlated with all other subscales, according to the abstract.
