Services provided will include conversion of patient charts, administrative records and surgical pictures to electronic form, a critical part of transitioning to electronic health records, according to a SourceMedical news release.
“Partnering with IDS allows SourceMedical to offer our customers an effective way to transition out of paper records to an electronic repository, a key element of their EHR initiatives,” said Ron Pelletier, vice president of market strategy for SourceMedical’s surgery division, in the release.
Participating facilities can choose whether to archive the documents in their SourceMedical management system or online using IDS’s Web-based portal, AbbaDox.
