San Diego Health Connect chooses Verato to enhance patient record exchange: 5 points

San Diego Health Connect, a Health Information Exchange, chose Verato, a McLean, Va.-based cloud-based patient matching solutions provider, to enhance its patient record exchange between 25 clinics and hospital systems.

Here are five points:

1. SDHC chose Verato to improve its patient matching functions to its patient record location and exchange services.

2. SDHC manages the identifying information for more than 3.4 million people.

3. Verato managed to solve 75 percent of SDHC’s 187,000 mismatched patients.

4. Verato also found 126,000 more SDHC patients that were missed.

5. “Using our innovative, smart, referential matching engine, Verato will help SDHC match patient records cutting the huge cost and effort associated with manual data quality and stewardship efforts,” said Mark LaRow, CEO, Verato.
