According to the release, Rex has the support of the Town of Holly Springs in its application to expand.

In fiscal year 2009, Rex performed 3,000 outpatient surgical cases at its facilities throughout Wake County, according to the release. The company is also planning to open a physicians’ office at its Holly Springs facility.

The third OR would be used for surgical oncology at Rex’s main campus adjacent to the Rex Cancer Center. The CON application is due Feb. 15, and the decision from the state should come in third quarter 2010, according to the release.
