Regent partnered with nine physician owners to develop the new 12,000 square-foot ASC. The physicians are the majority owners of the ASC and Regent Surgical Health manages the facility, according to the release.
Surgery Center of Mount Dora features three operating rooms and a procedure room. Specialties offered at the center include orthopedic surgery, spine surgery, general surgery, urology, podiatry and gastroenterology, according to the release.
The center has a staff of 21, including RNs, surgical technologists, a radiology technologist, central processing technician and office staff, according to the release. Shirley Thomas, RN, is the center’s administrator, and Robert McGuire, RN, is director of nursing. The business manager is Dorothy Smith.
