CDC Launches Consultation Services for Clinicians Treating Fungal Meningitis Cases

The CDC has launched a volunteer Clinicians Consultation Network to offer guidance to healthcare providers treating patients who received a contaminated steroid injection from the New England Compounding Center in Framingham, Mass., according to an Infection Control Today report.

The volunteer clinical consultant will receive inquiries by phone and, in turn, report their findings to the CDC. The consultation service is of no charge to healthcare providers. To access this consultation service, clinicians may call 1-800-232-4636.
