According to the tip, superior team leaders do three things:

  • Create a clear team mission.
  • Set group goals.
  • Allow team members autonomy in day-to-day matters.

Setting clear goals allows team members to more easily make daily individual decisions that will support long-term team objectives, according to the tip.
