QSE Technologies Reaches 150th Healthcare IT Project Milestone

QSE Technologies, an IT systems integrator serving the ambulatory healthcare industry, has announced it has reached the milestone of 150 healthcare IT projects, according to Marion K. Jenkins, PhD, FHIMSS, CEO of QSE Technologies.

“QSE works with architects, development companies and physician ownership groups to design technology into ASCs and other medical facilities so that it supports both today’s and tomorrow’s information technology requirements,” Dr. Jenkins says. “Working with the business and clinical staff, preferably many months in advance of the center opening, we can design the proper technology into the facility before any cement gets poured or walls get built. That way changes can be made with an eraser and not a jack hammer. The same thing is true for any upgrade or facility redesign.

“Not all physicians see the value of proper information technology, and the ubiquitous paper chart and clipboard are an unfortunate element in most ambulatory healthcare,” he says. “But ASCs tend to be more advanced and patient-focused, and they want to take advantage of the improved efficiencies and better patient outcomes that proper information technology can provide them.”

Since achieving the milestone, QSE has announced two new projects in Tucson, Ariz., and Denver.
