GE Healthcare Announces $300M Investment in Low Radiation Dose Technology

GE Healthcare will invest $300 million in low radiation dose technology, the company announced yesterday at the RSNA 2011 trade show in Chicago, according to a news release.

This latest investment brings GE’s total investment to $800 million since 2000. One area the company has been researching is image reconstruction technologies. These technologies filter out noise and fuzziness from data gathered at low radiation levels.
