Physicians who work in these cities earn the most — Milwaukee is No. 1

Demand for physicians has been steadily growing for the best three years, according to data from physician networking site Doximity.

A new Doximity study examined physician employment, job demand and salary data.

Doximity examined 27,000 physician jobs posted on the site in 2018 and 2019, as well as 70,000 survey responses from physicians.

Ten cities where physicians earn the most:

1. Milwaukee – $395,363
2. New Orleans – $384,651
3. Riverside, Calif. – $3171,296
4. Minneapolis – $369,889
5. Charlotte, N.C. – $368,205
6. Dallas – $362,472
7. Atlanta – $362,267
8. Los Angeles – $356,390
9. Cincinnati – $354,129
10. Hartford, Conn. – $352,129
