Richard McCade accused Michael Resnick, MD, of “dramatically overinflating” his colon during a colonoscopy in 2008. The following day, Mr. McCade underwent a CT scan after complaining of severe pain to Dr. Resnick. Although the initial scan showed no signs of perforation, another CT scan a few days later showed a perforation requiring emergency surgery, according to the report.
