The new surgery center is one of three medical organizations, along with the Orthopedic Associates of Muskegon and Mercy Health Partners Rehab Center, located at the new building at 1400 Mercy Drive in Muskegon. The facility is a collaboration between physicians and Mercy hospital system, according to the report.

Officials from the surgery center say that the outpatient setting has made its surgeons more efficient, and patients have enjoyed the cost savings and atmosphere.

Currently, Muskegon Surgery Center has three operating rooms and one procedure room, with room for future expansion. The center aims to complete 4,000 procedures this year, with the goal of reaching full capacity of 7,000, according to the report.
