A survey of readers of the publication reported that 65 percent who were using chiropractic treatments for back pain said they helped a lot, compared with 53 percent of those using prescription medications for back pain.

Half of readers using deep-tissue massage or yoga found they helped a lot for osteoarthritis, putting those treatments on par with prescription medication.
