Q: Do you place soiled briefs of a Clostridium Difficile patient in a red bag or in plain trash?
 
Phenelle Segal: Red bag trash is for articles contaminated with blood and for use in laboratories were blood tests are run. All other trash, including the soiled briefs of a C. diff patient, goes into regular trash unless visibly contaminated with blood, whereby they would also be placed into red bag trash.
