CMS Issues Final Decision Lowering Supervision Levels for 22 Outpatient Services

In a final decision, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services lowered the supervision requirements for 22 hospital outpatient therapeutic services.

In August, the federal advisory Hospital Outpatient Payment Panel recommended CMS reduce the required supervision level for 28 outpatient services.
