SwedishAmerican Receives Joint Commission Accreditation

SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford, Ill., has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval by demonstrating compliance with the organization’s national standards for hip replacement, knee replacement and stroke care.

Prior to receiving the recognition, SwedishAmerican underwent a on-site survey. The hospital was evaluated for compliance with standards of care specific to the needs of patients and families, including infection prevention and control, leadership and medication management.
